Biography

I am a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS) department at the University or California, Berkeley, working with Prof. Kameshwar Poolla and Prof. Pravin Varaiya and at the Berkeley Center for Control and Identification (BCCI). I received my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) department at the Colorado School of Mines working under the supervision of Prof. Tyrone Vincent and Prof. Michael Wakin.

Research Interests

In a nutshell, my research interests include topics in machine/deep learning, statistical signal processing, and time-series forecasting for the analysis of large-scale interconnected dynamical systems, with applications to intelligent transportation systemes, smart energy grids and power systems, and cyber-physical systems. In particular, the recent focus of my research is on:

  • Artificial Intelligence based Predictive Maintenance of connected IoT devices

  • Cyber Data Attacks and Anomaly Detection of Frauds

  • Compressive Sensing and Structured-Sparse Signal Recovery of Dynamical Networks

  • Renewable Energy Integration, Aggregation of Flexible Loads, and Demand Response
